Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge CE Primary School is situated in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge in Telford, Shropshire, UK. We were awarded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in 2011 and are very proud or our school, it's children and staff. We like to make learning an enjoyable, rewarding experience. Our school is housed in a beautiful Edwardian building with lots of history. We also have modern extensions and facilities which help us to provide great experiences for our pupils.
Coming to a school within such a beautiful and imposing building as ours is a privilege and we take pride in it’s history. But, although our building is 100 years old, at Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge School we continually move ahead with the latest in equipment and resources to ensure that we offer the best learning experience for our children.
Our school is quite extensive. Classrooms and a library occupy 2 floors of the original building and in addition to that, we also have a modern extension to the rear housing further classrooms and music room.
On site we have a 21st century
kitchen, where well balanced meals are cooked from fresh ingredients daily, and which has been designed for the children to use.
Our separate Learning Hub is used by staff and children during the school day .
We have a Wi-Fi network that spans the school giving easy internet access for Children, Staff and Visitors.
The school has two large playgrounds which are equipped for tennis, netball and basketball, and use of the extensive regatta field at Dale End park. We have a trim trail for children to explore during breaktimes.
